Conventional shears have a scissor action which invariably results in at least one piece of the material being distorted. The Gabro design eliminates this by progressively blanking out a thin strip of material which leaves both sections entirely undistorted and free from sharp burrs and edges. Sheets of unlimited size can be cut and notched without diffi culty up to the maximum material thickness for each machine.
Stainless steel and non ferrous metals can also be cut without diffi culty, as well as perforated and expanded metal, hardboard, laminates and plastics. A Side fence, Angle guide, backstop and a nibbling steady are supplied with the machine. Gabro notchers are made for workbench mounting. Model 2M2 can be supplied with at tubular fl oor stand and model 3M2 can be equipped with an optional wheeled stan
