Gabro folders are extremely versatile machines and ideally suited for development
and prototype applications, production work, general workshop use and for
training purposes. Model BF is available in two sizes. The BF1000 with a bending
length up to 1000mm and the BF 620 up to 620mm, which is suitable for workbench
mounting.
Gabro folders are unique as they eliminate conventional segments for work clamping
and use instead struts and sections of standard steel angle. The standard
steel angel which is the upper clamp bar is mounted in the movable struts which
clamps the work. A narrow bed ensures that the return bends can be made with
the component suspended inside the machine.
The clamp bar can easily be removed from the struts so that brackets and channel
sections can be formed right round it. The clamp bar clamps the component
and bends the sides so that the backstop holds the fi nished width irrespective of
blank variations.
The Clamp bar can be removed and made shorter this enables box and pan
folding. A particular and patented feature of Gabor folder is the selective bending
device on the fold bar which enables interrupted or partial folds. |
